Founded in 1933 by J.D. Adams, the store was originally located on Fayetteville Street, just a few blocks from our current location. In the early days, J.D. and his son, Bobby, sold jewelry out of the back of their car. They were known for their custom-made jewelry, which was often crafted from gold and diamonds mined from the family’s property in western North Carolina.
In 1971, Bobby’s son, Jamie, took over the business. Under Jamie’s leadership, the store grew and relocated to its current location on Martin Street. Jamie is a third-generation jeweler, and he brings more than 40 years of experience to Adams Jewelry.
